What is she like?

I was told –

she is a

melancholy soul.

She is like

the sun to night;

a momentary gold.

A star when dimmed

by dawning light;

the flickr of

a candle blown.

A lonely kite

kept lost in flight – 

someone once 

had flown.

*a forest tale

Years ago, I found a picture of flowers on the internet that I liked so much. I kept looking at it over and over, and only recently did I see this kind of flower in nature for the first time in my life. What a delicate, dreamy plant! It is called "Soldanella alpina" (second picture).

When the trees are in full bloom and the meadows are more yellow than green, I love to sit on a blanket in the garden with my little old friend, making garlands out of dandelions and daisies. Soaking up the first warm sun is magical – as you can see, not just for me!
