More summery watercolor paintings from the past few months.

I do not feel very communicative these days, but there is always something visual to share from my little world.

Yesterday, after another difficult day with so much pressure in my head and nerve pain, I sat on the terrace with a hedgehog before bed, and for a while we simply shared the quiet.

I just realized that I haven't shared another batch of paintings with you here yet. I'm totally in love with the little snail painting I made. Every time I look at it, it makes me smile. It reminds me how the smallest, simplest things can have such a big impact on one's mood. I hope you're enjoying your summer days. Over here, I'm trying to save most of my energy for watering the plants, and whenever I'm feeling a little better, I try to do things that fill my heart with joy. It helps me cope with the situation a little better. Take good care of yourself & until soon again!

*early summer paintings

I still have a bunch of watercolor paintings I made in early summer that never ended up on my blog, and I wanted to share them before the year is over. The painting with the snails is one of my favorites this year. We had an abundance of Roman snails, which inspired me to capture them in this way.

Luckily, I painted them all beforehand, otherwise the challenge would have been a washout for me, as I still have to spend the most time in bed. On this last day of May, I will show you all the paintings I did in this very productive month! Most of them were for the #maykind challenge (hosted by Anna Shepeta). *spring watercolor update

Welcome in May! 

I'm back with a big watercolor update with all the paintings I made last month. Since the quality of my favorite watercolor paper changed over the years, I ordered some paper from different labels and feel quite excited to test them out! My last dahlia bulbs are planted and I can't wait to witness how the garden is transforming into a blooming dream, like in my paintings.

*Birthday dogs & stamps

Recently I made this Birthday dogs pattern and decided to also make a matching stamp set for decorating my letters. I painted them with my kakimori brass nib pen, then scanned the results and prepared the right size in photoshop for the stamp company. I also transformed one of my bird paintings into a separate stamp which is the biggest stamp I ever made so far (apart from the ones I hand-carved in the past). I love how they turned out and already used them for different occasions!
