*Simple jute dish scrubber

Some time ago, I crocheted this simple dish scrubber with jute yarn. I find them very practical and eye-pleasing.

*Akardy the elephant #2

A few close-ups of the second elephant that I made. Taking these photos is always so much fun!

*Arkady the elephant

Close-ups of the little crochet elephant I made. I've already started making him a friend in a different color. It was really a fun and easy project! I found the pattern here ➔ {click}

*halibut

My pen friend Silke shared this free pattern for a quirky crochet halibut with me, so I thought I'd surprise her by making one for her! It was a lovely side project!

*Handspun wool duck

A few close-up shots of the duck I crocheted from my sister’s handspun wool. The pattern can be found in the Japanese book “Dakko Amigurumi & Cushion.”

*Christmas doilies

Recently, I took up crocheting doilies again. I think the last one I made was back in 2021. They’re all Christmas surprises for friends. I also got myself a crochet hook for working with sewing cotton so I can try making very delicate doilies. Working so finely is tricky for me and takes a long time, but it’s a good exercise for the brain and fine motor skills.

*Foxy fraise

The moment I found this fox scarf design, I knew I had to try it! I fell in love with the long legs and especially the cute face! The pattern is by @sewsillylily! I used wool that I already had at home, so the result turned out a bit more delicate, and I adjusted the length to fit my needs. When it lies on my bed, it almost looks like a pet. Maybe I like it so much because it somehow reminds me of Sunny.

*Golden autumn triangle scarf

Ever since finishing my "Wintry triangle scarf" in January, I’d been wanting to make another one – this time using softer wool and different shades. I ended up choosing a color palette inspired by the exceptional golden autumn we had! I love how it turned out and really enjoyed taking it out to my little beloved oak forest. It was quite chilly despite the sunshine, but wearing five layers kept me warm enough!

*Häkelpullover aus Nappy

In the middle of August I started to crochet a chunky pullover with the pattern "Crochet pullover made from Nappy". My dear sister has gifted me a wool voucher for Birthday back in March that I hadn't touched yet and when I found this pattern, I finally gave myself a yank to order wool for it. Originally I wanted lilac color instead of strawberry, but I think it is a quite nice color combination anyway! It was a really nice project, although the wool was a bit unruly to use and I had issues with following the pattern of the sleeves. I think the colors suit the time period when late summer meets autumn very well.

*Koala chushion

The pattern of this sweet koala cushion is also from the Japanese craft book "Crochet with Sonomono: Animal Cuddle Amigurumi." I knew instantly when I saw it the first time, that I have to make it! I decided to embroider the eyes instead of using plastic ones. I think it makes it more cozy. I went up the little oak forest to make pictures. The sun was such a relief after the row of gloomy days that we had before. On the weekend I was looking for snowdrops, but nature is sleeping still here. Yesterday morning we had minus 6 degrees and today also frost again, but it seems it will get milder very soon!

*Solo Lino Print Top

Welcome to March!
The pattern for this crochet top is from the magazine "Lana Grossa häkeln – Ausgabe 3" and is also available for free on ravelry. I used a different sort of wool, so I had to adjust the pattern, but it turned out better than expected in the end. Of course the temperatures are still too cold to wear it like this outside, but the light was beautiful on that day, so I decided to make some pictures out of doors. It is extremely soft and it will for sure be a garment that I will wear regularly.
