We have finally some rain after months of dryness! Nature changed instantly into deep greenness and it got pretty cold over the weekend. I can't believe that we still have to heat our stoves at the very end of April!

*pattern design

Some pattern designs that I have created lately.
They are all available now in my spoonflower shop!

*Early spring blossom

Those colors of the early spring are close to my soul.

*Flower girl

I made those illustration a while ago when the longing for warmer days reached it's peak. This year I want to sow new flower sorts again in my garden, that I haven't tried out yet. I also started to dry plants again for a new herbarium and played around with ink and pencil. Have a nice spring day!

*apricot bloom

A dream not only for the bees –
blooming apricot trees.

In the meantime, liverworts have replaced the snowdrops in the forests, I have piked my seedlings and finished preparing the garden beds to sow when temperatures are more stable. I thought we were done with winter, but they say it will snow on the weekend, so let's see how it will be then. We also pruned our cherry laurel hedge which became a big task since it has grown so well. It took us 3 days. What a good feeling when it is done! Right now the cherry trees are starting to bloom and also the plum trees are slowly opening their buds. Finally also life energy is returning more and more in my body after the long winter months. The sun is doing it's miracles. Good times are ahead! Enjoy the spring!

*mountain trip | part 2

The last pictures with snow, promised! But still, the view was amazing!

*mountain trip | part 1

Pictures from our mountain trip. Sunny enjoyed sitting next to the tiled stove into the sunshine as much as I enjoyed looking at him :)
