*the autumnal table

For some time now I was putting novels aside to read more non fiction again, but I missed immersing into the world of stories, so I started to read again in the still dark morning hours with a candle burning in front of the fogged window. The first sounds apart from the people who are heading with their cars to work are the cries of the crows, then I know the sky is becoming slightly brighter whereas the air is getting colder. It's so beautiful to feel it all, to live from the inside. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed by all the different nuances of everything. There is so so much between black and white. There is everything, multilayered in all dimensions. Thinking about this reminds me of my early childhood days where I would force myself regularly to think about death. People said there is nothing when you die. I made the attempt to immerse into this nothingness and it created the weirdest feelings in me. I can not say they were pleasant, it was more like falling into an endless hole, but at the same time they were drawing me towards them.

*wild cam

Recently I woke up from the sounds of the deer again, so I thought I have a look at the recent wild cam pics and here are some of them for you! It's really always funny to see what is going on in the garden in the middle of the night. No foxes and martens at the moment, but lots of rabbits, deer and cats.

*moon elf

I had the sketch for this illustration for ages in my drawer and was so happy that I finally painted it! It fits the time of the year with the stunning full moon we had and the more and more gloomy weather we are starting to have.

*wrapped in spider webs

Another month has gone by, quicker than ever as it seems.

I'm working on different small projects right now and it feels really good to be able to paint again, but always when I feel better I tend to want to make too many things at once – energy management is not something that I have sorted out for me yet – it just feels too good to do and create especially when you had been held back for certain reasons so many times.

Our November started with beautiful sunshine, the leaves are turning colors late this year, but it feels even more special. I will prepare some tea now and will leave some more pictures of the misty days we had here so far.

*autumnal paintings

Three more autumnal watercolor paintings that I made in October.
Unfortunately we were not able to go mushrooming so far (except for medicinal polypores), because of the very dry conditions, so I had to return to painting them instead. My little hedgehog had more luck as you can see! :)

By the way, I don't know why blogger is making my pictures unsharp, I tried uploading all different sizes, it comes out always the same, but you can always klick on the images to see them bigger & sharper.

*Between the worlds

Allured by the mist,
roaming between the worlds,
sustained by the glow of dew pearls.

*Pumpkin mouse

This is the little pumpkin mouse painting I told you about earlier here on my blog. I like how the colors turned out, they really depict our mild & sunny autumn.

And here is also a little movie of my start into autumn.
