*outside

Misty days are alternating with clear days with harsh winds. It is smelling like snow, but we did not have snow yet.

*October light

I love how the light is changing in the seasons. The later the year, the lower the position of the sun and the more the sun comes actually into the rooms of our home. Everyday the leaves of our birches turn a little more yellow, and soon no leaf will be left on the fine black branches. My dear old neighbor lady passed away. I can feel her presence with me since. As always there is so much I would like to say, but my words are stuck. I wonder if that knot is ever loosening.

*at times

At times
I feel like a deer
in a very small forest
surrounded by streets
 full of fast cars
and unpredictable humans.
The noises make it jump
from one end to the other –
perpetually.
Constantly being on the alert,
never finding rest.

Softly as in a morning light.

*pastel ocean

The last pictures of our Croatia trip.
The rocks have been so warm from storing the day sun.
The pastel colors, so soft and delightful.

September has gone by so incredible fast.

In the south
the evening light
feels even more magical.

*Sveti Duh & surrounding

This part of island Pag did not feel like Croatia at all, it felt more like Egypt or another distant land. The dark clouds looked amazing above the white of the hills. The water was clear and refreshing.

*abandoned

There was this place,
it felt so abandoned –
I instantly fell in love with it.

*island pag

The next stop we had in Starigrad-Paklenica. We stayed at a nice little camping site located in a cypress grove with lots of wild birds chattering and flying around all day. It was quite windy most of the time, but a warm, pleasant wind.

Then we reached island Pag and found a lovely, familiar camping site located next to the beach and lots of wild nature around. There were no shops or anything near, so it was never crowded. We explored every direction and I collected some pretty stones and sea glass.

*Klenovica

First we made a stop in Klenovica. There was a path next to the ocean where you could walk endlessly in the warmest evening light. I loved all the dry flowers and grasses there. The sea was calm and you could see island Krk in the distance.
