*cherry blossom season

When the cherry trees were in full bloom, Sunny and I enjoyed some quality time in the warm spring afternoon sun. Afterwards, it started raining– and it hasn’t really stopped since. We’ve finally had several rainy weeks; I can’t even remember experiencing such continuous rain since we moved here. Not extreme, but steady every day, and nature is visibly sighing with relief. I feel very grateful! Of course, I would still like to go swimming as usual at this time of year, but this is more important. Nights still drop below zero, so I haven’t been able to do much in the garden beds or greenhouse – but I’m glad I sowed everything before the rain came.

*Easter decoration

For this years Easter decoration, I used twigs of wild cherry, as they just started to bloom and matched my old wooden ornaments perfectly. Easter was late this year, but very pleasant, because of how far along nature already was. We also visited my family and enjoyed a lovely time by the Danube.
