Working a lot in the garden. It is very time consuming, but it is worth every minute!
My cucumbers started to bloom and I was able to harvest first salads and radishes. This is all I ever wanted. Being able to have my own veggies. I waited so long for this! And now it is even better than I imagined :) Ok, it is not all easy all the time, we have this caterpillar plague - they eat up most of the flowers I planted and also some of the vegetables and changing weather conditions make it kind of stressful, but all in all I am super happy.
On the 4. picture you can see tiny strawberry plants that I've grown from the seeds that I got from Lily. It took a long time, but now I think they will grow faster.
And I was able to harvest some "mustard leaf" that I got from Coco. I really like the taste!
Thank you again to all, who sent me seeds!

I think you have done very well and it is so nice to harvest what you grow.I am not doing so well we keep having changing weather here too.My potatoes are growing well but the leaves are being eaten a little by slugs. I think they will survive. My basil and cauliflowers are being eradicated as I speak. These are the ones I planted out and the ones still in my green house. My corn is doing amazingly : ) x

It is looking so good! It is so rewarding, isn't it? And such a great thing to know exactly what you eat ... Our French potager is doing great as well: in only a bit, my dearest will be able to eat his own tomatoes and salads. I am waiting for some herbs at home: as weather is freaking out here, I don't know if it will work. Very dry periods and strong and tough rain storms aren't the best combination ...

ich stell es mir so schön vor, das eigene gemüse zu ziehen. als kind von eltern mit garten war das lange eine selbstverständlichkeit für mich – jetzt vermisse ich es so, das eigne fleckchen grün.

@coco: Oh yes, I waited for this so many years! I feel really lucky! Thank you!

@Jabbott: Yes, indeed! We too, we have the weirdest weather since I am able to remember! My corn did not make it, but the potatoes also grow very well!

@cococita: It is, it is! Yes, that's one of the biggest reasons why I want to grow my own food, because even if you buy organic in shops there is still a difference between organic and organic! And thinking of our health situation it makes even more sense! We have the same crazy weather! I never experienced it like that before! It's extreme! Not good for most plants.

@querido diario: Thank you! I hope so too!

Reading all your wonderful gardening posts is the best anticipation for our own house and garden!! This year we mainly grew herbs, but we try to add them in almost every meal. :D

I'm very happy for you, dear Claudia! :D

nice you already could harvest some edibles :) there are some hungry things here too, for two years i tried to grow cavolo nero cabbages but as soon as they have their first two leaves out of the seedling they get mowed by some miniature caterpillars. same this year with the tomatoes from seed, they got eaten by something... but the salads and radishes seem to be doing well here, although i probably have to wait a few more weeks to be able to harvest. love the look of your greenhose!
