The world is a doily

Finished this little doily and finally made a picture of this big window of a church I walk by very often when I walk the dog. Isn't it like a giant doily somehow? I am fighting the dust and am thinking about serious things. Would you be able to give away your pet if you are allergic to it?

Oh, Claudia! That's a very difficult question. I think I'd do anything to try not to separate from my beloved cats. Are you sure you are alergic? Maybe you can find a sort of compromise...

@thumbly: I know it since over a year now, they tested it. I am the same, I try further to do everything that I don't have to give him away. I just can't. I'm searching for solutions to get rid of my allergies, but it is harder than I thought :(

oh! It is very difficult! But health is the most important thing... Maybe your little sunny could be with someone very close to you... Is your allergie very strong?

*tears in my eyes*

I'm allergic to half the world and among that almost all furry friends. I choosed breed (poodle) very carefully and so far I'm ok. But I live with the horror thought that I one day can be allergic to my little princess and honest I don't know what I would do if that happened.

BIG hug!

@Alicia: Actually the other allergies are stronger, but it is getting worse :( Also there is noone really close to me where I can imagine to give him...

@Mia: Oh, it seems we have a lot in common...may I ask you if you have to take antihistamine daily? The doctor who told me to give away Sunny told me that I should take it every day. But I am not a fan of that. I tried a lot of natural treatments, but nothing really helped longterm. How do you handle it? How long do you have your allergies?

Liebe Claudia,
ich habe mal wegen der Allergie meine Kanarienvögel abgeben müssen...schweren Herzens, aber in gute Hände. Es war ein Prozess...

Mich begeistert dein Vergleich der Rosette der Kirche mit Häkeldeckchen! Phantastisch!

Liebe Grüße von Ariane, alles Gute.

That is indeed a very difficult question and it's one we had to ask ourselves a few years ago as well. My sis was very sick, but it ended up being the dust - not the actual cathairs. Anyways. I have no idea what to say to help out, because I'd cling to my pet as well. I wouldn't want to give it away. So my suggestion is: try how far you can physically go and see from there. I heard brushing the pet and eventually washing it very frequently might help. But then again, Sunny might not be very easy to brush? If you want to talk, you know you can and I'll listen. :)

In spring I eat histamine every day due to pollen and the rest of the year it depends on what I do, who I met and what I eat. I always carry it with me together with adrenalin and cortisone just in case of an anaphylactic shock. I been allergic since I was around 20. I'm use to it now but it increase my life a bit, specially that I can't eat nuts (fatal). I guess you've done all you can like not have him in yr bed (or not in bedroom at all), wet wipe the floors as often as you can, no carpets, bath him often, ventilate (open windows)...... Feel free to email me if you want to "talk"!
