On my walk today the sky had such a strange texture. Also I saw the work of a busy beaver. I haven't seen this before in wildlife and would never have expected to see it in Vienna.

After yesterdays fortunately last visit at the dentist for a longer time, life can only get better now, so I'm happily printing christmas cards and envelopes and making again experiments with crocheting twine.

Holy cats

Last friday I was on a speech on the phenomenon of cropcircles. Before that I visited a museum also about cropcircles and on the attic there was a dusty room full of christian images and other religious things. There also were two little cats who followed me wherever I went. The whole room had a very odd atmosphere. On the last picture you can see the image I liked the most.

Das kleine Buch handelt von Freundschaft und in ihrem Brief hat sie mich an viele Dinge erinnert, die wir zusammen in den 23 Jahren, in denen wir uns jetzt schon kennen, erlebten. Ich freu mich schon auf die nächsten 23 Jahre :)

Look, what I had in my mailbox today! A surprise packet from Irina. The little book is about friendship and in her letter she reminded me of many things we lived together in the 23 years we know each other now. I'm already looking forward to the next 23 years :)

Blank space is freedom

The tea I bought yesterday is not only good, it's also very smart. On each teabag is hanging a little message. This one says: "The basis of every beneficial tidiness is a big wastebasket." It's so true! I regularly try to give away things that I don't need anymore and it feels so good. Still I keep far too many things of that I can't let go because of memories. But I know, without them I would be feeling freer.

Sunny boy

Sunny is living up to his name. He's always searching for the sunniest spot to lie down.

After the dentist today I recompensed myself with these 3 packages of tea (love the design of the packages and hope the tea is as good!) and two balls of cotton wool.

Experiments

Some time ago I made some experiments with this green strong parcel twine. Among others I crocheted this little basket that I currently use for storing stones I collected on my walks. Now I tried out to crochet a motif of the book Beyond the Square - Crochet Motifs from Edie Eckman. It was not easy to crochet because of the inflexibility of the twine, but it still worked out nice. Maybe I will make it wet and flatten it a bit.

Some change and rug/carpet No. 8

Yesterday we rearranged a few things in our flat. We put our kitchen table into the living room, 'cause we can't heat the kitchen and it's not very comfortable to sit there in the cold season. I like change a lot! Later I finished my eighth rug. It's diameter is 33 inch (84cm).

Autumn walk

Took a long walk in the nature today and brought home some nice findings. It's a beautiful day, but the air is quite cool.

Mother Holle

These are the pictures of the movie "Mother Holle" I told you yesterday. I like the clothes they are wearing, especially Mother Holle's crocheted wrist warmers :) and all the other handmade things. I'm sick, so it's a nice pastime to step into another world.
